That is the question!

While I don’t really love the word “niche” (it’s overused in marketing), this does not change the fact that it’s critical to the success (or failure) of your business.

Focusing on a niche pinpoints your next steps to successfully running your business. There’s no guessing where to go to give presentations, where to publish your articles and or what kind of marketing will attract perfect clients.
Niche-ing also minimizes costly experiments in your marketing efforts by becoming crystal clear what opportunities to say YES to and what to avoid.
Concentrating on a specific niche helps you provide a higher level of excellence in your services and excellence leads to more referrals. By mastering your area of focus, you’re able to give confident, thorough and authoritative solutions.
And you know what that does?
It catapults you to “EXPERT” status.
I’m talking about the kind of expert that has a burning desire to help others and the courage to marry their passion with the challenges and desires of a clearly defined group of people who are willing to pay for the solution they offer.

Is the sole purpose of this workshop to discover your niche?
Yes, and because I don’t want to leave you wondering what to do next, I’ve also planned to give you clear guidance on how to serve your newly defined niche and how to allow yourself to shine. After the workshop, I’ll be hosting a group tele-seminar for participants to ask me any follow-up questions.
What if I already have a niche? Can I still come?
Absolutely. But only if you’re ready to refine and upgrade it.
What kind of “change your life” experts do you work with?
I work exclusively with holistic health practitioners, wellness professionals and life transformation coaches with a mind-body-spirit orientation. People like nutritionists, health counselors, life coaches, mind-body physicians, healers, massage therapists, spiritual counselors, therapists, NLP experts, herbalists and more… and especially those with an entrepreneurial spirit. It’s what I know best and I believe in the power of this work.
I don’t understand why finding your niche is so important?
Do you want to stand out or blend in? One of these options is infinitely more profitable and easier to communicate. Naturally, it’s your choice. This workshop is for those who are ready to distinguish their services from others so they can stand out, make more money and do what they love with greater ease. You might find it helpful to listen to this class I lead on The Power of Being THE Expert.
Can you guarantee I’ll discover my niche?
No, but what I can guarantee is that you will understand how to find your niche. And here’s why: Your willingness, readiness and ability to step into your niche is ultimately up to you. I promise to help you do this, but I will not drag you there. If you don’t feel ready to claim all that you are and stand out and get noticed, then I would suggest you pass on this opportunity.
Who is this workshop NOT suited for?
If you’re looking for just “a little boost” to your business, this isn’t for you. I have found those who aren’t really interested in running a profitable business are not willing to implement my suggestions nor or they willing to stand out and get their services noticed in a much more effective way.
Also, in order to be successful with this workshop you must be willing to be seen and understood by others (including me and those in the workshop). I have found some people are overly-identified to being an outsider, an unknowable “artiste”, a rebel or mysterious energy healer. While that may be your true experience in life, in order to start making a great living, you’ll have to let that go and choose another way of seeing yourself. If this makes you a little nervous, that’s okay. I can work with that. But if deep down, you can’t fathom someone else “getting your work” or resist the very idea of marketing your services then this is absolutely not for you.

Why is your workshop on a Friday and Saturday and not on a Sunday?
In my house, Sunday is for lovers. J No computers, no work and just relaxing. And, it gives you a day on the weekend to digest and organize what you learn before you start work on Monday.
Why are you limiting the workshop to only 15 participants?
It is an effort to create an experience where everyone gets to know each other (this is essential when defining your niche to match who you are), and for everyone to get lots of coaching and attention from me and share in the collective wisdom from those in the workshop.
Where will the workshop held?
We will be working in a beautiful private meeting room at the newly renovated Westchester Renaissance Hotel in White Plains, NY nestled on 30 acres of scenic Westchester County countryside - just minutes from Westchester County Airport, 35 minutes from New York City and conveniently located to great shopping, restaurants and MetroNorth Railroad (While Plains Station).
I have selected a conference room with plenty of natural light and views of the Westchester County woodlands. This hotel combines a unique expression of whimsical décor, luxury and nature to inspire and delight your senses. I find being in beautiful surroundings truly uplifts my spirits and helps me think much bigger.
I’m coming from out of town. Will there be a special hotel rate for workshop participants?
Yes, the hotel is reserving rooms at a special rate of $129 per night (more than a $100 off the regular room rate) until June 27th, 2008. I highly recommend you invest in a total immersion and pamper yourself with a night’s stay in the hotel. I find this helps me focus on my conscious business planning without distractions and creates a positive association to marketing and success.
What is the plan for the day?
Morning registration and informal networking starts at 8am on both days, and we will start promptly at 9am, breaking for a relaxing lunch at 12:30. (There is a Whole Foods a 5 minute drive from the hotel with a delicious buffet - or you can enjoy one of the restaurants on the premises.) The workshop resumes at 1:30pm on both days and continues until 5pm.
What should I bring?
Your favorite notebook and pen, business cards and any marketing materials you’d like me to look at. Also consider dressing comfortably in layers and in clothing that makes you feel really good about yourself, since meeting rooms can run cool and then warm.
How would you describe your style of teaching?
I’m very down-to-earth, straight talking and humorous. My speaking style is dynamic and energizing with a good dose of spiritual truth thrown in for good measure. I like to keep it real (no super slick sales vibe) sharing my personal experiences in private practice without hesitation, and I also like to include lots of participant interaction, engaging exercises and a few other surprises thrown in to make you feel very well taken care of.
