Wellness Marketing Tip: On Designing Your Business
By
I was coaching a client today who is in the beginning stages of redesigning her wellness business.
I get to know my clients really well – so well, in fact, I actually ask them to tell me how much money they’ve made in the past year.
This is a powerful question because wellness pros tend to focus on giving their energy rather making money.
That’s all well and good, but you cannot continue to make a difference in other people’s lives in any dedicated way if you aren’t making a great living for yourself.
In my client’s case, she already has experience making great money from her former business, but she was not certain she could do the same in her practice.
So as an exercise, I asked her to add a zero to her monthly desired income to jar her mind and start thinking creatively.
She immediately liked it and shared that the idea felt very comfortable, almost natural.
My hunch was confirmed.
This phenomenal woman is capable of making beaucoup bucks, even as she’s
capable of making a big impact!
She’s already comfortable with big numbers.
I asked her, “As the wellness business owner making 100K per month, what would you have to believe about yourself?”
The answer:
“That I am worth it.”
“That I have something people really want.”
“That I could have what I want.”
YES. YES. YES.
What is the point of designing a business that doesn’t give you what you want?
If you do not design a business that suits you, you’ll inevitably quit at some point.
So you might as well design a business that is perfectly suited to you.
If you’re going to make the effort of going into business for yourself, might as well design it to give you what you want.
This will have you creating a sustainable business model, one that ensures you’re well taken care of so that you can continue to transform lives for years to come.
To your continued success,
Karin
