Wellness Marketing Tip: Where Do You Quit

By Karin

Where do you stop yourself?

Where do you absolutely allow yourself to say, "it's okay for me to give up or 'wait until' when I'm in this situation."

Where do you say… "oh no, I'm not responsible for that."

It's hard to find.

It's tricky.

As you become more and more aware of personal transformation (and as wellness pros we are well versed in this) your "old self" (the one that says — no don't go for it, it's safe and cozy here) gets better and better at finding places for you to hide.

Here are examples of "hiding out" patterns that I have seen hundreds of times (and I might add, have absolutely done these or some version of these to death!)

- waiting to be absolutely clear before you move forward with your vision

- waiting to have your marketing materials perfect before you attract clients

- waiting until you "get well" (lose weight, look the part, etc…)

- waiting until your kids, relatives, spouse doesn't need you as much

- waiting until you know enough

- waiting until you're comfortable, not scared of the next step

The thing is, society validates all of these issues. Your colleagues and friends will nod in agreement with your reasons of "why not now."

But I think it's all manufactured distractions and ways for you to hide out.

This is not to invalidate life's stuff, obilagtions, etc…. You still gotta do what you have to do to handle lifes ups and downs, pay the bills, make dinner and wipe the snot of your kid's nose.

My point is to see it for what it really is. It's your dream, you dreamt this, you attracted this, it's all you.

The only way out is to think bigger, more creatively. And wellness pros happen to be creative geniuses.

There is tremendous personal power in this realization.

The power to start responding to life's "stuff" with new eyes.

The power to say to yourself - no matter what comes up, I'm going to stay in the game.

Until that moment comes for you in your private practice, when you decide that no matter what happens you're going to go for it, things are a bit tough in private practice.

Here's to recommitting to your practice, right now, at a whole new level.

To your success,

Karin

Thanks so much for the reminder! Sometimes being an entrepreneur means lots of alone time. And then the voices start! Great to have a healthy nudge like this. Really appreciate it,
Christina
