Build Your Website for Under $100
ByHere's the recipe for creating a professional website for under $100.

Wordpress is a free, open-source blogging platform that can be customized to look like a website. See my site as an example. I took a simple, free Wordpress template, had a graphic designer put together a header with my picture in it to give the site a little pop and inserted that image into the header of my template.
Visit the following site to select a free Wordpress template or theme. There are thousands to choose from.
Tips on choosing a Wordpress theme:
- I recommend 2 column sites with a fixed width (meaning the main body of the site doesn’t fill up the entire page of your browser).
- I also recommend the navigation menu (individual page links for your wordpress site) be placed straight across or directly to one side of the page. Avoid wordpress themes with navigation menus buttons on the very top upper left or right side of the header (they are hard to navigate).
- Again, you can always have the header (the image or color in the top part of your site) professionally designed by a graphic designer, fairly inexpensively, to customize the look of the site. Like what I did on my site.
- You want your wordpress site “widget ready”. These are all the cool things you see on the sides of my site.
