A Better Way to List Your Services on the Internet - Part 2
Rather than trying to find clients, why not let them find you.
Google has a bundle of free services you that you can use to get noticed.
Take for example, Google Adwords. It is a pay-per-click service that allows you to post ads on the internet that show up only when web searchers type in your pre-selected keywords.
Here is a simple breakdown of how this works:
Let's pretend you're a Boston-area nutrition expert. If someone was searching the internet for a nutrition expert in the Boston area, and you had chosen "boston and nutrition" as some of your ad keywords, your ad would show up for that web searcher. And you would only pay if they clicked on your ad (which would naturally lead them to your website). Simply put, Google Adwords puts you in front of the people looking for the solutions you provide. No other advertising medium can do this.
You can use your Adwords campaigns for a variety of reasons: client attraction, increasing your newsletter subscribers, selling a specific product or ebook, test a service or product response or survey your market to learn more about their needs.
But here's the catch.
Most people sign up for their free Google Adwords account, set up some ads and then wonder why it's not working (or why they keep paying Google for clicks without results). Like anything else, it's an art and science. You'll need to do a little homework in order to get results.
So fair warning! Do not attempt to start using Google Adwords without having read the following book: "The Ultimate Guide to Google Adwords" written by Perry Marshall and Bryan Todd. Marshall is the guru of Adwords and anyone who is successful with Adwords has studied with him. I have taken classes, coaching programs and studied his books and there is absolutely no one better to teach you the ins-n-outs of Google Adwords.
To your professional expansion,
